Skipjack Nautical Wares & Marine Gallery will be presenting their annual Marine Folk Art show as part of OpSail 2012, opening Thursday, May 31st, 2012 and running throughout the month of June. This years show is titled "Don't Give Up the Ship" in celebration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812.

Some of Skipjack's associate artists will be on hand, Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10 to demonstrate different maritime art forms and skills, such as scrimshaw carving, knot-tieing, wood carving and other sailor and folk art.

Skipjack business hours: Monday- Saturday 10am to 5 pm. Sunday 1pm to 4 pm.

We will also be open Sunday, June 10 from 10am to 5 pm!

Enjoy music in the historic courtyard of the Portsmouth Art and Cultural Center in Olde Towne Portsmouth. Friday, June 1 features rock and blues by MORE COWBELL

The Concert in the Courtyard Series is sponsored by PortsEvents, Towne Bank, and is in conjunction with the Olde Towne Business Association’s First Weekend Series. Parking is available in the lot behind the Portsmouth Art and Cultural Center and is free on weekends and after 6:00p.m. on weekdays.
