EVENTS     Previous Day Saturday, July 02, 2011 Next Day   Saturday, July 02, 2011 10:00:00 - 17:00:00 FOUTH ANNUAL PATRIOT’S DAY CELEBRATION Portsmouth, Virginia As a part the First Weekend Series and to celebrate the  Independence Day weekend, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum and Lightship PORTSMOUTH will be celebrating their fourth annual Patriot’s Day on Saturday, July 2nd, 2011.  From 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, step back in time over 200 years.  This event is full of historical activities, including craft demonstrations, musical performances, games, military drill, food and fun.  Patriot’s Day is sponsored by the Friends of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum in collaboration with the Portsmouth Museums.  As with all our First Saturday programs, admission will be FREE to both the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum and Lightship PORTSMOUTH.   To find out more about Patriot’s Day, please contact Katie Barnes at (757) 393-8591 or via email at: barnesk@portsmouthva.gov.       Additional Info:
